Description of Research Study/Procedures: The purpose of this research is to explore concussive symptoms sometimes experienced by MMA athletes, and their relationship to on-going MMA participation. You are being asked to complete a survey that inquires about your routine training regiment, as well as common medical symptoms that some people experience shortly after sustaining a concussion. The survey is attached and will require less than 15 minutes to complete.
Risks and Benefits: There are no known risks associated with this research project that are greater than those encountered in daily life. The information resulting from this study may aid in understanding concussion related symptoms that amateur and professional mixed martial artists experience.
Confidentiality: Please note that data obtained from this research will be kept strictly confidential. Any data you submit will be coded without identifying information. Your data will be entered into an electronic database. The electronic data will be protected by password on a controlled access computer.
